What is a lock-down tarp system?
A lock-down tarp system is a side-to-side roll tarp system that maintains tension across the trailer opening when the tarp is closed. The Roll·Rite STS Series combines electric operation with Rite·Lock™ technology, allowing operators to cover or uncover a load without manual cranking while helping keep the tarp securely locked into position during transport.
Can an STS system replace a manual tarp system on a grain trailer?
Yes. Roll·Rite’s GTX550 STS Series is designed to retrofit existing crank-operated tarp systems on grain trailers. It combines a TarpStretcher® gear motor, dual-arm Rite·Lock™ technology, and Rite·Touch™ wireless remote control for automated tarp operation.
